Kathrin Stanger-Hall received her Ph.D. in Animal Physiology from Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen in 1993. She runs the Stanger-Hall lab at the University of Georgia, which is studying the signals used by fireflies.

My main research interests focus on how to promote active learning and critical thinking in large introductory biology classes, and on the evolution of light signals in North American fireflies.
